A proud lifelong member of the Minooka community and graduate of Minooka High School, Jen has spent the past eight years serving students as a Licensed Social Worker at her alma mater. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work—credentials that reflect her deep commitment to mental health and her passion for supporting others through compassionate, evidence-based care.
Currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Jen is also a certified Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor. Her dedication to student well-being extends far beyond the counseling office. She actively engages students in essential conversations about recognizing the signs of depression and suicide, empowering them with the tools and knowledge to seek help for themselves or support their peers.
Jen has had the privilege of partnering with the cofounders of the Mental Health Matters Fund to deliver impactful presentations that promote emotional well-being and reduce stigma. Her advocacy doesn't stop at the student level—she also works closely with educators, staff, and the wider community to provide ongoing mental health education and support.
At the heart of Jen’s work is a mission to make mental health resources more accessible and to ensure that no one feels alone in their struggles. She is passionate about the Mental Health Matters mission of “saying yes to help,” and brings empathy, dedication, and a heartfelt connection to every role she serves in.
When she’s not supporting students or the community, Jen enjoys reading, exploring creative projects, and—most of all—spending quality time with her husband and their two boys.
